Studio and location editorial with Kate Wiggins of Mother Model Management. A mix of controlled studio light and raw urban environments, moving between pearl-draped minimalism, vintage leather, and golden-hour intimacy.

Notes
Kate Wiggins has the kind of face that photographs well at every distance. Tight beauty portrait, three-quarter editorial, full-length street work — all three are inside this project, and all three reward the same sustained look. That's the difference between a model who photographs and a model who performs. Kate is the former.
We split the session between a studio and a downtown St. Louis location shoot. The studio setup was classic chiaroscuro — a single source, a black v-flat, careful positioning. The black satin dress with boots came out of that setup. So did the over-the-shoulder beauty portrait in black and white.
The location work moved us to a red door, a brown leather jacket, and golden-hour light through glass. The wardrobe change was deliberate — vintage leather, editorial styling, less corporate polish than the studio. The two environments bookend each other. You can feel the tonal shift inside the same series.
Mother Model Management placed this talent with me and it's the kind of editorial I want to keep making. Models who don't need to be directed constantly. Wardrobe that supports the frames without screaming for attention. Light that does more work than post-production ever could.
